Sprindle keeps your account on your phone. We don't run ads, track you across apps, or sell anything about you.
Sprindle helps you discover records, the producers who make them and the shops that sell them. This policy explains what information the Sprindle app handles and why. "We" means Sprindle, the operator of the app.
When you create an account you give us a name, an email address and a password. Along with the styles you pick, the producers you follow and the records you save, these are stored only on your device. Your email address and password are never sent to our servers. Your name is sent only if you redeem a promo code, as explained under Event tickets.
Your password is never stored as you typed it; the app keeps a salted one-way hash so it can check your password when you sign in.
To show new releases, previews and which shops have a record, the app downloads the Sprindle catalogue from our servers. That request carries no account information. Like any web server, ours can see your IP address and the time of the request, and may keep them briefly in logs for security and troubleshooting. We don't use them to identify you.
When you redeem a promo code, our servers store the name on your account with the ticket, so it can be shown on the ticket and checked at the door, along with when you were checked in. If you invite a friend, the person who invited them can see their name once they redeem the invite. Your email address is never sent. Tickets are kept until after the event, then deleted.
• Apple Music previews are streamed directly from Apple when you press play. Apple's privacy policy applies to that request.
• Record sleeves are loaded from Apple Music and the Cover Art Archive. Those requests carry no information about you.
• Maps of record shops are provided by Apple Maps.
• Links to Apple Music, Discogs, Resident Advisor, shop websites and ticket pages open those services, whose own policies apply once you're there.
Shop stock and prices come from the shops themselves and from Discogs. No information about you is shared with them.
Sprindle has no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not access your location, contacts, photos or microphone. We don't sell or rent personal information.
Your information stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which erases your account, follows, saved records and event tickets from the device. Deleting the app removes everything as well.
A redeemed ticket is also kept on our servers until after the event, then deleted. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, email us at mert.deryaasan@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because your account lives on your device, you can exercise most of these directly in the app. For an event ticket, or anything else, email us at mert.deryaasan@gmail.com.
Sprindle is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age, and we do not knowingly handle their information.
If we change how Sprindle handles information, for example when accounts start syncing between devices, we'll update this policy and the date above, and tell you in the app before the change applies to you.
